The IS Technician, as a part of the IS team, is responsible for providing strong technical support for the helpdesk and environments such as VMW, Citrix and Windows. S/he will also be require to assist with key IS project work, the Active Directory, Exchange and Windows backups.
Candidates should ideally have Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) in Information Technology and have relevant technical qualification(s) i.e. MCSE/CCNA. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas: Level 1, 2 and 3 help desk experience (business users), configuring, managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Server (2003, 2008, 2012) administration, supporting and providing administration of VMware environment, maintaining DNS, DHCP and Group Policies, Mac hardware troubleshooting, working in a managed service environment, creating and maintaining user account information (including access rights and group memberships), supporting Audio/Visual solutions and Windows and remote VPN and troubleshooting WAN/LAN/Wi-fi. Extensive knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2013 and OS X operating system and default software in an AD environment is also desirable, as well as a working knowledge and troubleshooting experience of networks and firewalls.
